For a few years now we have been mulling over the idea of holding a Canterbury Truffle Festival. Unfortunately there was never enough truffle to be able to pull this off… until this year!

We are all very excited to be a part of this (what I am sure will be) amazing event starting the 11th of July, running through till the 19th. There are a variety of different ways that the public will be able to enjoy a truffle experience during the week so I highly recommend looking at the website and liking the facebook page so you stay up to date with what is going on.

Kicking off with truffle tastings and sales at farmer’s markets on Saturday July 11th, the festival will feature truffle dishes being served at the region’s finest restaurants and wineries, including Restaurant of the Year Roots in Lyttelton, and Winery Restaurant of the Year Pegasus Bay in the Waipara Valley. Others taking part include Harlequin Public House, Saggio di Vino, Pescatore, Black Estate, Cornershop Bistro, Town Tonic and Passenger & Co — plus a special pop-up truffle dinner in the city.
